Integration Workshops

These are structured workshops with teams to minimize/eliminate confusion, disagreement, conflict, mistrust, stuck behavior…all sources of mediocre performance.  During the session we clarify, align, and integrate perspectives, assumptions, beliefs, and behavior relative to a strategy, market movements, operations, innovations, initiatives, or projects.

 

Strategy Refresh Workshops

These are structured discussions with executive team and key leaders/managers (supplier and customers also possible) to review the assumptions underlying your company’s strategy, strategic direction, strategic competencies, or a project and determine if the current path is still the most effective one for growing and building a competitive advantage.  Once strategic direction has been reinforced, I provide a simple performance tool and process for executive team to use to inform and align employees throughout the company.

 

Non-monetary Reward & Recognition Systems

I can work with you to design, implement, and provide ongoing management of a behavior-based reward & recognition system.  Many companies today are struggling with how to retain and energize their people when traditional mechanisms are unavailable.  Cost efficiency programs and weaker financial performance have forced companies to limit or altogether cancel monetary rewards and other cost-intensive incentive initiatives (for example, employee development programs).  A non-monetary reward & recognition system can not only fulfill the gap but also do it far more effectively and inexpensively than financial rewards.

I can work with you and employees across the company to map out your customer value chain to identify how work is getting done across your company and how value is added for your customers at each step.  With the value chain mapped out, we can explore alternative ways of working that will accelerate delivery to your customers, minimize error and waste and the excess cost related to that, create new sources of value and revenue.

 

Team Performance Improvement & Performance Coaching

I can work with you to design and facilitate workshops and provide coaching to improve performance of teams throughout your company.  This can be done with individual teams, or more ideally, with multiple teams across your customer value chain.  Past interventions have typically increased speed and quality of performance leading to increased revenues and decrease costs across the value chain, and ultimately improved customer engagement to your brand.

Learning Journeys

Out-of-context experiences for individuals on your team or your team in whole to challenge their established mindsets and help them explore different ways of thinking and doing. Journeys provide the time and space away from the busy-ness of daily work to reflect, explore, and perhaps even challenge oneself and each other.  They can be as simple and practical as taking one day out to travel across town to visit a company in an industry different from you own to stimulate creative thinking about your own business model, operations, and products.  Or, a journey can be more profound, where you travel to exotic lands to immerse yourself in the culture, learn about other ways of Being, and perhaps contribute something of yourself, whether its your expertise in helping would-be entrepreneurs set up a micro-business or your muscle in building houses for the poor, for example.
